Flex passes: sell the whole season in one transaction

New in v0.13.4

The best customer you will ever have is the one who buys before they know which night they're coming. Season subscribers. Ten-punch regulars. The festival crowd who'll pick their days later.

Flex passes let you sell to that customer. One purchase, a pile of credits, and the freedom to redeem them across whatever events and series you decide.

One purchase. Many nights. Zero chasing.

A flex pass is a bundle of credits with your rules attached: how many credits, what they cost, and exactly which events and series they can be spent on. Your audience buys once, then redeems whenever they're ready.

Built like real inventory, not a coupon

Most "pass" features are a discount code wearing a costume. Flex passes ride the same machinery as your tickets.

Cart holds, honestly counted

Passes are bought through the normal cart with real inventory holds, so two buyers can't claim the last pass at the same moment. Multiple passes in one cart work exactly as you'd expect.

Taxes and fees that behave

Your organization's taxes apply to passes the way they apply to everything else, and the fee policy is snapshotted onto the line at purchase — so what you settle matches what was sold, months later.

Absorb the fee if you want to

Choose to eat the Tixert fee on a pass and show your audience one clean number. The fee still settles correctly on your side — the buyer just never sees it.

Exactly-once redemption

Redemption settles atomically against the credit balance. No double-spends, no race conditions, no "the app charged me twice" email on a Saturday night.

The door experience

1

They arrive with a pass, not a ticket

The pass lives in their Tixert account with its own page and a scannable QR — alongside their tickets, orders, and wallet passes.

2

You scan it

The same scanner your team already uses for tickets recognises a pass and opens a ticket picker for tonight's event.

3

You confirm

A credit is never spent automatically. Someone at the door always confirms which ticket the credit becomes — which is what makes a mis-scan a non-event.

4

It's a real ticket from there

The redemption produces a ticket that scans, reports, and settles like any other. Redemptions land in your exports, per date.

Setting one up takes four steps

Basics.

Name it, describe it, give it artwork. It gets a public page and a spot in search and the sitemap automatically.

Price and credits.

Set what it costs and how many admissions it's worth. Decide who takes the fee.

Eligible series.

Point it at whole runs — a tour, a season, a festival — and every date inside becomes redeemable.

Eligible events.

Add individual events with a searchable, paginated picker. Or start from an event's own flex-passes page and create a pass already seeded with it.

A ticket buyer decides once per event. A pass holder has already decided.

Why passes change the math

The reporting keeps up

Pass revenue doesn't sit in a corner waiting to be reconciled by hand.

Settled like everything else

Flex pass revenue is settleable as a product item — grouped, frozen with a money snapshot at attach time, and stamped so each order item settles exactly once. Mixed settlements now sum every revenue bucket, so a payout covering tickets and passes reports the real total instead of one slice of it.

Claimed and redeemed, tracked.

See how many credits have been claimed against a pass and how they're being spent across your calendar.

In the dashboards you already read.

Pass metrics flow into event and organization dashboards next to ticket revenue — not a separate report you have to remember exists.

In every export.

Series exports include flex pass redemptions across every date, each row naming the night.

Who should be selling one

Seasons & subscriptions

Sell the season in September. Let subscribers choose their nights all year.

Festivals

Move weekend passes without inventing a fake "3-day ticket" for every combination of days.

Clubs & venues

Ten-show punch cards for the regulars who come every Thursday anyway.

Touring acts

One pass across the tour, redeemable in whichever city they can actually make.

Members & VIPs

Perk bundles that feel premium and settle cleanly.

Classes & studios

Class packs, without the spreadsheet you've been maintaining since 2019.

Turn one sale into a season of attendance

Flex passes are live for every organizer, included in the same flat pricing as everything else on Tixert. No pass module, no subscription tier, no per-credit fee.
